Exercising our Faith

There are two key aspects to sanctification – the nourishment of our souls and the exercise of our faith. Without the nourishment of our souls that comes from reading the Word, meditating on it, and communing with the Lord in prayer, can we live out righteousness? Can a starving man run a sprint? No. Without nourishment, exercise can be no more than a feeble attempt. But we must caution ourselves! Is nourishment the goal? Not so. The goal is to walk in His ways. The goal is to be like Him as we run the race.

Let us be nourished, and let us run!
